I’m a sucker for all things pretty. Many a times, I eat and shop with my eyes. With the festive season just around the corner, it’s no secret where I would be spending most of my time. SHOPPING of course. More specifically- online shopping.
Christmas is the time of the year for giving and spreading some love around. So don’t be afraid to spend a little more to bless those around you. For me, I like to start of with a list of people I need to buy gifts for. Eg. my family, loved ones, close friends and colleagues. Then I would scout the internet for suitable gifts such as Amazon, ebay, hipvan etc.
But recently, I was approached by Uncommon goods to review some of their products. Being the curious me, I visited their website and I was thrilled by the extensive range of products from men, to women, kids, home, kitchen, art that they had to offer. The best thing is they ship internationally to a wide number of countries. So if you’re looking for something to give this Holiday Season, you know where to look!
I like how they call themselves Uncommon goods. Honestly, it was the name that first sparked my interest. Buying chocolates for someone during Christmas is such a cliche that sometimes you just want to be different and send someone something special and unique. Uncommongoods is a privately owned retailer that strives to feature unique gifts created in harmony with the environment and without harm to animals or people. Their mission is to support and provide a platform for arts and designers. One look at their product offering and you could tell they cater really unique gifts. You can learn more about them at their uncommongoods website.
That said, I was instantly drawn to this Row Boat Serving Bowl with Wood Serving Utensils– It is shaped like a rowboat and the wooden utensils serves as an oar. If you do host parties, this for sure would WOW your guests. Do your wifey a little favor and get her one of these ;). For more ideas on what to get your loving wife this Christmas, you can view more of their fantastic gifts here. I promise you, you might even be spared to do the dishes 🙂
Everyone knows Mummies are the world’s greatest being. What better time to bless them with something special. This reclaimed wood cookbook stand is made from wood salvaged throughout Europe and gives the kitchen a dash of rusticity. Definitely something useful for the mum who loves cooking as much as she loves being in her kitchen. They certainly have a lot more gifts for mums and they can be found in the link here.
Everyone loves personalised gifts. It shows that the giver actually puts some thought into getting a gift and not just getting something off the rack. Pamper your guy this Christmas with a personalized Whiskey Barrel. or a wide variety of goods such as bottle openers, maps, wine glasses, cufflinks. If you’re looking for fancy pansy ideas, you can find out more at uncommongoods.
Last but not least, my favourite section- the home/kitchen section. I believe every food blogger like me can attest to that. There are just too many choices.
Here are some of my favourites:
1) Udon Noodle Bowls
2) Ooma Bowls
3) Face Mug- A mug to hold your drinks and sweet treats!
4) Cheeseboard
5) Face Plates
6) Hot and Cold Soapstone Serving platter
This post could go on but I guess pictures always speak louder than words. So do check out their website Uncommongoods or follow them on instagram and facebook 🙂
