Dark Chocolate Salted Caramel Tart

I always thought I bought this rectangular tart pan on impulse. It has been sitting in my shelf untouched since the day I walked out of the store carrying this precious pan. I’ve seen the wonders this kind of pan can do to both savoury or sweet tarts.

But the push factor was actually a pretty looking poached pear frangipane tart I chanced upon as I did my daily foodgawking. It was that very moment that I knew I had and MUST get my hands on one of them.

Sad to say, the pear tart wasn’t the first tart that I baked in that pan. It was actually one of my favourite desserts- a RICH Decadent dark chocolate salted caramel tart topped with fresh strawberries.

I had way too much chocolate filling for the tart so I did another round tart. Picture above was a slice off the round tart. The other rectangle tart was swooped up even before I could take a clean pic. Anyway check out the salted caramel oozing out! Loves loves loves!!

Any suggestions for the next tart I should bake in this lovely rectangle pan :)) Feel free to comment! 🙂

Happy baking!
