Seems like Game cakes are pretty much the “In cakes” now. Only thing is I have no clue absolutely whatsoever about them. I previously had an order for a Starcraft cake, and it took pretty lotta research to finally understood the cake I was suppose to be creating. Hmm A Base, snakes and crawlers.
When they suggested for marines to be included as part of the design, I thought to myself Hmm ” Marines seem pretty do-able- like those US Marines etc” until I finally googled Starcraft Marines and lo and behold it was a different story all together.
Similarly, this cake was a Mortal Kombat cake with hand painted logo on top of a fiery background. Painting fondant seems to have been my next found joy after sculpting figurines 😉
